Signs of Allah’s pleasure & Anger

Hazrat Umar bin al-Khattab says that he has been informed that the Prophet Moosa (Alayhis Salaam) or Prophet Isa (Alayhis Salaam) asked Allah: what was the sign of his pleasure? Allah Ta’aala said the sign of His being pleased was that He will shower rain for cultivation at proper times and stop rain at the time of harvesting and give the government in the hands of sensible and forbearing people and entrust the management of Baitul Mal (public treasury) and the booty to the generous people. The questioner later on asked about the signs of Allah’s displeasure. Allah Ta’aala said the signs of displeasure are anger is to send rain at the time of harvesting and stop rain at the time of cultivation and give the government in the hands of the foolish people and entrust the management of Baitul Mal and booty to the misers.
