Some advice for the rest of the day, Night and you Life

 

1. The following are desirable with regards to nikah. To be held:

i) on Friday,

ii) in the month of Shawwal (The 10th Islamic month after Ramadhan),

iii) inside a mosque.

2. It is Sunnah to publicise the Nikaah and distribute dry or fresh dates amongst the attendants.

3. To fix an affordable dowry.

4. After the nikah, the husband should hold the forelocks of his wife and make the following Duaa;

Allahumma innee as-aluka min khayrihaa wa khayri maa jabaltahaa alaiyhi wa a’oozu bika min sharihaa wa sharii maa jabaltahaa alayh

TRANSLATION: O Allah, I seek from you her goodness and blessing and the goodness of her natural character upon which you created her and I seek your protection from her evil and from the evil of her natural character upon which you created her.

5. When intending to cohabit (intercourse), the following duaa should be recited in order to avoid the intervention of the Devil (Shaytaan) and his influence on the child to be conceived. The child, as a consequence, will be protected from the harms of the Devil.

Bismillahi allahumma jannibnash shaytaan wa jannibishaytaana maa razaqtanaa

TRANSALATION: In the name of Allah. O Allah! Save us (both) from the devil and protect the offspring you grant us from devil as well.

6.Upon ejaculation, the following duaa should be recited within in the mind;

Allahumma laa taj’al lish shaytaani feemaa razaqtanee naseebaa

TRANSALATION: Allah! Do not give the Devil any share (authority) in the offspring that you grant me.
