Fountain pen of solid gold & silver

Can Muslims use a fountain pen of solid silver? Recently the world renowned Sheaffer Pen Company has introduced a carved pen of solid silver in the market.   I wish to send for it as I am very fond of good pens, but as Muslims cannot use gold and silver articles, I am hesitant. Kindly reply.

It is not permissible for both men and woman to use a pen of solid gold and silver, and a metal having a predominant or equal part of gold or silver is also within the order of gold and silver. Even if the nib is of gold or silver, its use too is not permissible.
