“From the time of Adam (A.S) till Qiyamah there will be no greater evil than the evil of Dajjal”
Dajjal will be from among the Jews and will emerge during the rule of Imaam Mahdi. He will have one eye that will protrude from its socket and he will be short in stature with crooked legs and extremely twisted hair. Upon his forehead will be inscribed, Spelling the word Kaafir which will be deciphered by those with Imaan. He will travel swiftly and amass a large following of Jews, women and music lovers, and he will initially claim Prophet-hood. However, Dajjal’s greatest evil will be his claim to divinity i.e that he is “god”. Those with weak Imaan will be misled and lured by him and will fall into a trap as accepting him as god when he performs some certain supernatural deeds. He will deceive the people by supernatural powers, he will cause rain to fall, crops to grow on barren land, bring the dead to life, and cattle to become fat etc. People will be robbed of their Imaan through this type of deception. He will cause great mischief and chaos in the world.
The Holy Cities
The holy cities of Makkah Mukarramah and Madina Munawwarah will be protected from his evil presence as Allah ta’ala will depute special Mala’ikah to guard these holy places. Since he will not be able to enter Madina Munawwarah, he will camp on the outskirts of Madina Manawwarah. Whilst he is there, three tremors will rock Madina Munawwarah spurring the hypocrites and disbeliever’s to flee Madina Manawwarah. Dajjal will confront a very pious person. He will invite this person to follow him. This person will respond to his invitation by saying, “You are the very Dajjal about whom Muhammed rasulullah sallallahu alaihi wasallam has informed us” Dajjal on hearing this will turn to his followers and question them, “If I kill this person and bring him back to life, will you doubt me?” The followers will reply in the negative. Dajjal will then kill this person and then revive him. This pious person will then declare, “I am now sure, more than ever before, that you are definitely Dajjal.”Dajjal on hearing this, will attempt to slay this person again, but Allah ta’ala will strip him of all his powers.
Isa alayhis salaam
Meanwhile, Isa alayhis salaam will appear to slay Dajjal. Upon realising this Dajjal will attempt to flee, but will be accosted by Babul Lud (Lod near Tel Aviv, Israel) and he will finally be killed. With their leader slaying, Dajjal’s army will also attempt to flee, but will be apprehended and destroyed by the Muslim army led by Isa alayhis salaam
