INGREDIENTS:

Gelatine is a protein obtained by partial Hydrolysis of animal collegenous tissues such as Skins, Tendons, Ligaments, Bones, Cartilage’s and Hooves.

IT’S USAGE IN…

Gelatine is used in a wide range of products ranging from pastes, capsules, ice-creams, jellies, sweets, jams, adhesives, printing inks, textiles and many more.

ISLAMIC LAW REGARDING ITS USAGE

If the source of Gelatine is derived from a Halal source, then there is the permissibility in its usage, whilst if the source is Haram or doubtful (mashkook) then it will be treated as Haram.

Muslims should avoid choosing Haram and doubtful ingredients. If a comparable medication is available in the tablets or liquid form it would be advisable to ask for them instead of taking capsules
