How we do Wuzu

How we do Wuzu

If we want to read Salaah or recite the Qur’an we must wash ourselves. This is called Wuzu.

This is how we do Wuzu…

1. We make intention.

2. Wash both hands up to the wrists three times, washing the right hand first.

3. We clean the mouth with water three times, using the right hand.

4. Put water into the nostrils three times, using the right hand. Then clean the inside of the nostrils with the left hand’s little finger.

5. Wash the face three times from the top of the forehead to the bottom of the chin and from one earlobe to the other.

6. Then pass your fingers through the beard.

7. Wash both the arms including the elbows three times starting from the right hand.

8. Then wet the hands and wipe the head, ears and back of the neck, once. This is called “Masah.”

9. Finally wash both feet including the ankles three times, starting from the right foot then the left foot.
