Tahiyyatul Wudhu

Tahiyyatul Wudhu

Time of performance: After Wudhu

Number of Rakaats: 2 Rakaats

Benefits: “He who observes 2 Rakaats with full devotion after performing Wudhu well, becomes entitled to enter Jannat”. (Muslim) Hazarat Baraidah (R.A.) reported that the Prophet (Peace be upon him) arose at Dawn, called Hazarat Bilaal (R.A) and said: For what thing have you proceeded me in Jannah? I did not enter Jannah but heard your sound of footsteps in front of mine. He said: “O Prophet of Allah, I never proclaim Azaan except that I pray 2 Rakaats and know impurity affected me except that I made ablution at it’s advent: and I considered that is due for me 2 Rakaats for Allah. Then the Prophet (Peace be upon him) said: On account of these 2 Rakaats.” (Tirmizi)
